The call for participation opens this process: an invitation to join a shared inquiry where contributions develop through dialogue rather than arriving fully formed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the spirit of cybernetics as conversation, the review process is understood as support rather than gatekeeping. Track proponents will engage with submitted abstracts not to judge but to help strengthen thinking, clarify connections, and prepare for meaningful exchange. Authors are expected to engage thoughtfully with this dialogue. What emerges at the conference\u2014and in the publications that follow\u2014will be shaped by the encounters and resonances that arise when diverse perspectives meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Participate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submission Guidelines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants are invited to submit <strong>extended abstracts of approximately 500 words<\/strong> indicating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/events.asc-cybernetics.org\/2026\/conference-tracks\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"511\">track<\/a> you wish to join<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The format of your contribution (paper or other presentation format as appropriate to your chosen track)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How your contribution engages with the track&#8217;s concerns and the conference theme<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Each track has autonomy over how ideas and works will be shared\u2014whether through presentations, workshops, performances, dialogues, or other formats. Please consult the track descriptions above to understand how participation in your chosen track will unfold. All submissions must be in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submission Period<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>December 22, 2025 \u2013 March 16, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submit your extended abstract through the conference <a href=\"https:\/\/events.asc-cybernetics.org\/2026\/submission\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"382\">submission system<\/a>, indicating your chosen track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Review Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Refereeing as Conversation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ASC Brazil 2026 follows a process the ASC has long employed\u2014one that treats refereeing as conversation rather than gatekeeping, and contributions as living documents that develop through engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>March 16 \u2013 April 06, 2026<\/strong> Track proponents review submitted abstracts. This stage is understood as the beginning of a conversation: feedback is constructive and oriented toward development rather than judgment. Authors are not required to follow every comment, but they are expected to engage thoughtfully with the dialogue initiated through review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 08, 2026<\/strong> Authors receive feedback and revise their abstracts in dialogue with track proponents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 15, 2026<\/strong> Deadline for revised abstracts. All abstracts will be made available online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 3\u20137, 2026 | Conference in Ouro Preto<\/strong> Participants present, listen, respond, and integrate insights that emerge through shared discussion and activity. Tracks run during afternoon sessions. Each morning, the conference gathers for shared sessions to allow ideas from different tracks to mingle and resonate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After the Conference<\/strong> Authors further develop their contributions, informed by conference conversations. Track proponents coordinate publication in a venue of their choice\u2014whether journal, proceedings, edited volume, zine, or other format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conference Format<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mornings: Shared Sessions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each morning brings the full assembly together for plenary conversations, allowing ideas from different tracks to encounter one another. Track proponents will share reflections from their conversations, connecting individual tracks to the broader gathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Afternoons: Track Sessions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tracks run over one or two afternoons, depending on scheduling.
