The Executive Committee of the ASC is pleased to announce an opportunity for a scholarship that offers a conference fee waiver and travel support for the 60th anniversary meeting. Our aim is to sponsor the attendance of at least one individual, providing an economy train/flight ticket from anywhere in the world and covering the costs of a room for four nights in a middle-class hotel near the conference venue. Additional partial scholarships may be made available, depending on the support of the community via donations to the scholarship scheme. The American Society for Cybernetics is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax-deductible.

To apply, please submit an abstract of up to 500 words, following the same process as regular submissions. Please see the author guidelines linked above and/or these video instructions on YouTube for more detailed technical guidelines. The recipient will be chosen by a jury composed of members from the ASC’s Executive and Award Committees. Selection criteria will primarily focus on the submission’s alignment with the themes of the 60th anniversary conference and its contribution to contemporary cybernetics. The applicant should be the first author of the submission. If the submission has co-authors, the contributions of the scholarship applicant to the submission should be clearly explained.
