About the ASC

Founded in 1964, the American Society for Cybernetics advances cybernetics as an interdisciplinary conversation. ASC conferences have long emphasized the role of gatherings in fostering understanding and the exchange of ideas—a tradition extending back to the Macy Conferences of the 1940s and 1950s, where cybernetics itself coalesced as a field.
